We are very saddened and deeply regret to announce to you that one of our colleagues, Etzer Henry, a staff member of the CECI Haïti team was assassinated during the night from february 24 to 25 near his residence located by the village of Nadia In Cayes. He was returning from a training when he was brutally attacked and killed.
Etzer was originally from Jacmel and aged 35. As an agronomist, he was contributing to the implementation of the emergency food security project in coordination with the International Agricultural Alliance (IAA) under CECI’s responsibility. Very appreciated by his colleagues, Etzer served the project with professionalism and dedication for the past four years for the benefit of farmers in the Big South of Haïti.
We express our heartfelt condolences to his family, his colleagues and friends, and with all our heart express our solidarity to the CECI team in Haïti.
