Check out the second issue of the TUKOD Project Newsletter.
The Tukod Project was established in 2014 by CECI and CONCERN INC with the financial support of the Government of Canada in response to Typhoon Yolanda's devastating impacts on the Visayas region of the Philippines. The project's name, Tukod, which means to "support, buttress or uphold" in Tagalog reflects our objective to support the economic well-being of vulnerable women and men who were most impacted by Yolanda. Targeting the regions of Eastern Samar and Leyte, we use a women's economic empowerment framework that focuses on eliminating barriers to women's economic participation as a way of fostering sustainable economic growth and building resilient communities. We hope you enjoy reading about our work here!
