CECI has been working in the Great Lakes region since the 1980s. We have carried out regional projects in Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo promoting democracy and human rights, supporting democratic development and governance, and combating violence against women.
CECI also supported reconstruction in Rwanda following the genocide in 1994.
CECI also intervened in Rwanda to support reconstruction following the 1994 Tutsi genocide.
